Heaney launches rights co

The former MD of Cineflix Rights, Paul Heaney, is launching his own rights ownership and distribution company.

TCB Media Rights will seek to work with producers and broadcasters at the “earliest stage” of a commission to accelerate projects and get them to the international market. It will work on co-financing, pre-sales and production development across multiple revenue streams.

The company is in talks with “significant investor partners” and is seeking an experienced executive to work alongside Heaney as chief operating officer. TCB will be in Cannes for Mipcom in October.

The news comes after Heaney left Cineflix earlier this year following a decade with its rights business.
