HBO, Keshet’s Boys go to Israel

Our Boys will premiere next week

Four major television platforms in Israel have picked up HBO and Keshet Studios’ 10-part drama series Our Boys from distributor Keshet International (KI).

HOT and Yes, Israel’s leading cable and satellite providers respectively, and Cellcom tv and Partner TV, two of the country’s largest mobile operators, have acquired the HBO and Keshet Studios coproduction.

Our Boys will premiere across all four platforms on August 12, coinciding with the show’s US debut. HBO will launch it with two back-to-back episodes, followed by individual episodes on the next eight Mondays.

KI has previously announced deals for the show with HBO Europe and HBO Latin America. The latter will simulcast Our Boys in the Caribbean before rolling out the series throughout Lat Am, while HBO Europe plans to premiere the series in Spain, Portugal, the Nordics and the Baltic region from August 13.

Our Boys is based on true events that led to the outbreak of war in Gaza, and follows the investigation into the murder of a 16-year-old boy. Filmed in Israel, it was created by Hagai Levi, Joseph Cedar and Tawfik Abu-Wael.

Levi and Cedar also exec produce alongside Avi Nir, Alon Shtruzman, Karni Ziv, Peter Traugott, Rachel Kaplan, Noah Stollman and Michael Lombardo. KI distributes internationally.
