HBO, CatchPlay link World Between Us

HBO Asia and Taiwanese operator CatchPlay are preparing to launch a 10-part original drama about the aftermath of a mass shooting.

The World Between Us follows all parties involved including the killer, the victims, their families and the media as the story unfolds. It’s being produced by Taiwan’s Public Television Service and will be jointly distributed by HBO Asia and CatchPlay outside of Asia.

The show will premiere on HBO in Asia on Sunday, March 24 and is also available via on demand services HBO Go, as well as OTT platform CatchPlay in Taiwan, on which two new episodes will debut at the same time every Sunday.

Jonathan Spink, CEO of HBO Asia, which has also been behind fellow Taiwanese drama The Teenage Psychic, said The World Between Us would help it to “further reinforce our commitment to producing quality local programming for our audience in Asia and beyond.”

Late last year HBO Asia ordered Dream Raider, an original sci-fi drama that is also being produced in Taiwan.
