HBO adopts Keshet’s Our Boys

Our Boys follows true events leading up to the 2014 Gaza conflict

The European and Latin American arms of US cablenet HBO have pre-bought 10-part limited drama series Our Boys from Keshet International.

A copro between HBO Studios and Keshet Studios, Our Boys is based on the true events that led to the outbreak of the 2014 Gaza war and follows the investigation into the murder of 16-year-old Palestinian Muhammad Abu Khdeir in Jerusalem.

Our Boys will debut on HBO in the US on August 12, while HBO Latin America will simulcast the series in the Caribbean before rolling it out throughout the Lat Am region.

HBO Europe will premiere the series in Spain, Portugal, the Nordics, the Baltics and Central and Eastern Europe from August 13.

Aside from the pre-sales to HBO Europe and HBO Latin America, Keshet International said it is in ongoing discussions with “numerous” other broadcast partners and platforms.

Our Boys, which is filmed in Israel, is created by Hagai Levi, Joseph Cedar and Tawfik Abu-Wael.

Levi and Cedar also exec produce, alongside Avi Nir, Alon Shtruzman, Karni Ziv, Peter Traugott, Rachel Kaplan, Noah Stollman and Michael Lombardo.
