Hat Trick’s Whose Line heads for Mid East

Global Productions’ version of Whose Line is it Anyway? airs from December

Middle East broadcaster TeN TV has commissioned a local version of Hat Trick International’s entertainment format Whose Line is it Anyway?.

The 14-part show is being remade by Cairo-based Global Productions and is expected to debut in December to audiences across the Arabic-speaking Middle East.

The format has already been remade in 13 countries around the world, including in Australia (Foxtel), Finland (MTV3) and Holland (BNN-Vara).

The unscripted comedy format sees four guest performers improvise their way through a series of games, many of which rely on audience suggestions. It was created by Hat Trick Productions and aired for a decade on Channel 4 in the UK and ABC in the US.

A new US version launched on The CW in 2013, with Hat Trick selling global distribution of the US version.
