Harry & Meghan doc goes global

Harry & Meghan: An African Journey

Broadcasters in multiple territories have acquired the rights to a documentary about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent royal tour in Africa.

Network 10 (Australia), TV2 (Denmark), RTL (Netherlands), Medialaan (Belgium), TVNZ (New Zealand) and BBC Lifestyle (Africa and Poland) have all picked up Harry & Meghan: An African Journey (1×60’) from Tinopolis-owned Passion Distribution, which recently acquired worldwide distribution rights (excluding North America) to the doc.

Produced by ITN Productions and ITV News, the documentary premiered on UK commercial broadcaster ITV yesterday. It follows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their baby son Archie on their recent tour of southern Africa, where ITV News at 10 anchor Tom Bradby had unprecedented access to the couple.

“What begins as observational film about Harry and Meghan in Africa evolves into an insightful, remarkably candid testimony from the Sussexes on the immense stresses and strains which both young royals have experienced,” said Emmanuelle Namiech, Passion Distribution’s CEO.
