Gullane sees raft of children's renewals

Gullane Entertainment has greenlit new seasons for five of its children's properties, following on from a raft of broadcast renewals.

The company is going into production on another 20 new 20-minute episodes of Art Attack, the arts magazine programme that recently scooped Best Show for Children gong at the Itheme Awards Ceremony in France.

Targeting 6-14 year-olds, Art Attack, which airs on ITV in the UK and the Disney Channel in France, is a live-action series encouraging children to {have a go{.

Another ITV renewal is an order for 13 new 20-minute episodes of the pre-schooler Sooty, as well as new episodes of Mystery, aimed at 5-8 year olds.

The latter 20-minute live-action show, fronted by Neil Buchanan (Art Attack) and his two reporters, investigates mysteries in nature and everyday life.

Gullane Entertainment is also producing new episodes of ZZZap! (15×15′), the offbeat info/entertainment cartoon-style magazine show, which will begin airing on ITV in Spetember 2001.

In addition, the company is offering new episodes of Eckhart, the animated series based on the award-winning holiday special, The True Meaning of Crumbfest.

Destined for a September bow on Teletoon in Canada, the show (39×30′ in total) about a little mouse is a co-production between Cellar Door, Catalyst Entertainment and Hong Kong’s Animation Services.
