Gullane and S4C team up for toons

Gullane Entertainment has inked a joint venture deal with S4C International, the distribution arm of Welsh pubcaster S4C, to co-produce a new animated series of Fireman Sam.

Under the terms of the deal, both outfits will co-produce the 26-part series and then follow this up with a worldwide distribution, marketing and licensing campaign.

Fireman Sam has already appeared in four animated series as part of the BBC children's schedule, selling 1m videos and 5m storybooks in the UK alone. The series appears in Welsh on S4C and has been translated into forty other languages.
