Greece’s ERT3 walks Road to Calvary

A broadcaster in Greece has acquired The Road to Calvary, the adaptation of Alexey Tolstoy’s epic novel commissioned by Russian channel NTV.

The 12-episode drama, distributed by Dori Media Group (DMG), will air on Greek network ERT3 in September in a primetime slot.

Produced by NTV Broadcasting Company and Russian World Studios, the series is set in 1914 and explores Russian high society.

Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution, the series premiered at Mipcom last year and was filmed in locations such as St Petersburg, Moscow, Pyatigorsk, Riga and Archangel.

DMG is the exclusive distributor for the show, which was the first Russian drama in the Israeli company’s portfolio.
