Richard Goldsmith has announced that December 16 will be his last day at Henson and that he is leaving to “pursue another opportunity,” to be announced in early 2017.

Future business matters should be put to Amanda Quigley, Henson’s manager of sales for the global distribution division, Goldsmith added.

Goldsmith joined Henson in 2011 from Warner Bros Entertainment and oversees the global distribution of shows such as Dinosaur Train, Doozers, Dot and Splash & Bubbles to all platforms, including television and digital media.

He also acquires and distributes third-party content under the company’s Henson Independent Properties banner, which represents series such as Elias and Lily’s Driftwood Bay.

His role also includes responsibility for all aspects of the company’s OTT channel, Jim Henson Family TV, available on platforms including Roku and Amazon Fire, as well as Henson’s numerous YouTube channels.
