Goldsack joins Burning Bright

UK-based Burning Bright Productions has appointed the co-creator and executive producer of Sky1’s An Idiot Abroad with Karl Pilkington as its head of factual entertainment.

Dan Goldsack will be responsible for developing and expanding Burning Bright’s portfolio of factual and factual entertainment series, which includes Joanna Lumley’s Silk Road on ITV, Channel 5’s Raw Recruits and Sky1’s 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy.

He reports to Burning Bright’s Clive Tulloh, who co-founded the prodco with Toby Ward and Peter Bennet-Jones in 2011. Its forthcoming slate includes AMusical, a transmission pilot for Comedy Central in the UK.

Goldsack, who was most recently exec producing Prince: Last Year of a Legend for Channel 4, said he was looking forward to “working with some of the biggest talent out there, and creating ambitious new fact ent brands.”

Tulloh, who heads up Burning Bright’s creative team with head of factual Susanne Curran, added: “Dan has had such a huge hand in shaping so many entertaining and memorable TV shows and we are looking forward to having him work alongside us.”
