Goldberg heads to Leonine

German studio Leonine, recently formed from the merger of Tele München Group, Universum Film, i&u TV and Wiedemann & Berg Film, has appointed a ProSiebenSat.1 exec as senior VP of sales.

Christiane Goldberg has been hired to head licence sales for the group. She joins from ProSiebenSat.1, where she was senior VP of content acquisitions and sales, having started her career at the broadcaster as a programme planner in 1999.

“Christiane possesses deep knowledge of the market and an excellent national and international network. We are sure that she will make an important contribution to the further development of Leonine,” said Leonine CEO Fred Kogel.

Following Goldberg’s appointment, the structure of Leonine’s licensing team is now complete after the company made a series of hires in August.

Leonine was established by New York-based investment firm KKR following its spree of acquisitions, starting with TMG in February. The company revealed its new name last month.
