GoldBee brings fashion, vampires to ATF

The Athena centres on a young model who complains about a famous designer

Barcelona-based distribution and development consultancy firm GoldBee will be bringing ambitious children’s dramas The Athena and Heirs of the Night to next month’s Asia TV Forum (ATF).

Headlining GoldBee’s live-action slate is Sky UK and ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE) series The Athena, which follows a young model whose career implodes when she dares to complain about a famous designer treating her like an object.

GoldBee will also be shopping ZDFE’s epic vampire saga Heirs of the Night (26×26′), which premiered at MipJunior last month. The series is set in 1898 and sees five European vampire clans attempt to unite in order to avoid extinction.

The Worst Witch (39×28′), which was recently picked up by NHK in Japan and GMA in the Philippines, is also on GoldBee’s slate and tells the story of an ordinary 10-year-old girl who discovers she has the abilities of a witch.

On the company’s animation slate, meanwhile, are Becca’s Bunch (52×11′) and Ziggy & the Zootram. ATF runs between December 4 and 6 in Singapore.
