Go90 takes on terrorism comedy

US telecoms giant Verizon has ordered a scripted comedy set in the US National Counterterrorism Center for its streaming service Go90.

Liberty Crossing (8×30′) will premiere later this year on Go90 after going into production in May with Verizon and Hearst-owned Complex Networks, Insurrection Media and MXN Entertainment.

Created and executive produced by Daniel Radosh (The Daily Show) and Michael Harrison, the series follows a hapless young intelligence analyst who must untangle a terror plot while navigating the office’s petty backstabbing and bureaucracy, all the while tolerating his meddling family.

Other executive producers on the show include Mason Novick, Michelle Knudsen, Deborah Henderson, Justin Killion and Cory Stern. Todd Berger (It’s a Disaster, The Scenesters) will direct.

“We’re excited to be working on this project because of the smartness and sophistication of the scripts,” said Novick. “Daniel and Mike have crafted a show that feels both current and politically relevant.”
