Globo’s Sun rises in France

Rising Sun is a love story about two childhood friends

France Télévisions’ overseas networks France Ô and Outremer Première have acquired the latest telenovela from Globo in Brazil.

The channels will air Rising Sun in France and more than 20 other French-speaking countries following the deal with Brazilian broadcaster Globo’s sales arm.

Rising Sun tells the story of two childhood friends with Italian and Japanese backgrounds, respectively, who fall in love while living in a charming resort town.

France Télévisions has previously invested in other Globo productions such as Brazil Avenue, Trail of Lies and The Clone.
