Gillis takes up role with Gusto Worldwide

Canadian culinary content producer Gusto Worldwide Media has appointed Carrie Gillis to the newly created role of VP and general manager.

Gillis, who takes up the job on March 1, will oversee operations, sales and marketing at Gusto TV’s Ottawa studio and master control facility.

After launching her career in TV distribution for CBC International Sales and Télé Images in Paris, Gillis went on to lead the advertising and sponsorship sales and events business at Strategy Magazine, Realscreen and Torstar Corp.

At Torstar Corp, she launched Toronto Cocktail Week and Toronto Burger Week and was integral to the launch of city magazine The Grid.

Most recently, Gillis held the role of MD of events and marketing at St Joseph Communications, where she led the launch of a new events division.
