Germany jigs to Keshet’s Masters of Dance

Masters of Dance debuted on Keshet 12

German commercial broadcaster ProSieben has commissioned an adaptation of Israeli format Masters of Dance from local prodco Tresor Produktions.

Masters of Dance sees four renowned dance professionals putting their reputations on the line to crown the country’s best hitherto unknown dancer.

The format was originally created by Tedy Productions and Keshet Broadcasting for Keshet 12 in Israel. Keshet International-owned Tresor’s version is slated to premiere during ProSieben’s primetime schedule later this year and will be exec produced by Holger Rettler, Tresor’s director of non-scripted programmes.

Masters of Dance has already travelled globally, with Vietnam’s Purpose Media, Norwegian pubcaster NRK, Polish prodco Rochstar and Endemol Shine in Spain picking up the format in April.

Tresor MD Axel Kuehn said he was pleased to have secured the project, as he felt the format was the strongest of the “new dance shows being launched globally at the moment.”
