Gaumont appoints Cineflix alum

US producer-distributor Gaumont Television has appointed a former Cineflix Rights exec to the newly created position of VP of distribution.

Based in London, Nicola Andrews will be responsible for selling the company’s line-up of children’s programming into the US, Canada and Western Europe.

Andrews will oversee sales of shows including Calimero, Belle and Sebastian and Welcome to Bric-a-Broc. She will report to Erik Pack, president of international distribution for Gaumont Television.

“With the recent rebranding of Gaumont Television and all of the distribution now centralised into one division, the timing is ideal for adding Nikki to our team,” said Pack.

“Her experience of over two decades, her professionalism, and her keen knowledge of the industry make her the perfect fit for this new position.”

Andrews’ career includes stints as Rights.TV’s commercial director and Cineflix Rights’ head of acquisition. She was also MD of London-based animation studio BKN New Media Limited and worked across TV sales for the likes of Sony Pictures and Carlton International. Most recently, she has been running her own media consultancy firm Hemisphere Distribution based in London.
