Fyzz Facility’s Rocha ready to RubyRock

The former MD of UK film production and finance firm The Fyzz Facility TV, Zoë Rocha, has set up drama prodco RubyRock Pictures.

Rocha was also previously creative director at Little Rock and spent five years at Stephen Fry’s Sprout Pictures, where she executive produced its output as chief operating officer.

Rocha is joined at RubyRock by fellow Fyzz exec Catherine Freeman as development executive.

RubyRock already has a number of titles in development, including The Heartless and feminist horror anthology Her Horror.

The Heartless is a semi-autobiographical representation of the indie music scene in London in the early noughties, written by Lucie Barât and exec produceed by her by brother Carl.

Her Horror series explores the female experience in the horror genre, allowing emerging female talent to reclaim it.

Rocha said: “RubyRock Pictures is built on the foundation of the decade I have spent in this industry working with incredible creators like Stephen Fry, Chris O’Dowd, and Julian Fellowes, making offbeat, funny, original television.”
