Color Force produced The People v OJ Simpson: American Crime Story

FX Productions (FXP) has extended its first-look deal with Color Force, the production company behind The People v OJ Simpson: American Crime Story.

Color Force co-founders Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson originally signed a first-look deal with FXP in the fall of 2012 and a new agreement had been made to extend the pact to an overall deal exclusive to FXP.

It means Jacobson, Simpson and Color Force will draw on relationships with writer-producers and target literary properties for TV with FX Productions. The agreement does not include their film projects.

Emmy-award winning The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, was Jacobson and Simpson’s first project for TV, having previously produced movies such as The Hunger Games out of their studio.

Color Force, in collaboration with Ryan Murphy, is currently working on the next seasons of the American Crime Story franchise for FX and Fox 21. In addition, they are developing Bryan K. Vaughan’s graphic novel Y The Last Man as on ongoing series for FX.
