FX holds Pose for third season

The second season of Pose began on FX last week

Walt Disney-owned US cablenet FX has renewed drama series Pose for a third season, one week after the debut of season two.

Produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions, Pose centres on the African-American and Latino gay and gender-nonconforming ballroom culture scene in New York in the 1980s and 1990s.

Season two premiered last week and, according to FX, delivered 1.2 million viewers in total.

Pose was co-created by Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Steven Canals, who also exec produce alongside Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Alexis Martin Woodall and Sherry Marsh. Janet Mock is co-exec producer.

“Pose has elevated our culture and the TV landscape like few shows before it,” said John Landgraf, chairman of FX Networks and FX Productions.
