FX clowns around with Baskets

US cable network FX has linked up with Emmy-winning writer Louis CK on a 10-part comedy series about a man who follows his dream to become a professional clown.

Baskets has been co-created by the comedian, who won an Emmy on Monday for his work on FX show Louie, along with The Hangover actor Zach Galifianakis.

The show, slated for 2016, follows the life of man who gets tired of the corporate world and decides to retrain to become a respected clown. It is being produced by FX Productions and Louis CK’s prodco Pig Newton, which has an overall deal with the network.

FX has already added comedies including Man Seeking Woman and The Tracy Morgan Project to its slate.
