FX and Brad Pitt start Feud

FX in the US has made a straight-to-series order for an anthology series starring Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange, to be exec produced by Brad Pitt.

Feud explores the rivalry between US actors Bette Davis (Sarandon) and Joan Crawford (Lange). The show is based on a script by Jaff Coihen and Michael Zam that was bought by producer Ryan Murphy.

The eight-episode show is from Ryan Murphy Productions, Fox 21 Television Studios and Pitt’s prodco Plan B Entertainment.

It’s the latest FX deal for Murphy, who has also been behind American Horror Story and The People vs OJ Simpson: American Crime Story on the network.
