Fuse creates new content role

Fuse Media in the US has appointed a VH1 exec to a newly created position overseeing all original content development and production at the company.

Jennifer McGovern will join Fuse in its LA office as senior VP of current and development on July 10, reporting to chief content officer JT Ladt.

As well as original content development and production, McGovern will be responsible for the generation of new original content strategies and for identifying new material, partners and opportunities for longform and shortform original programming.

McGovern most recently oversaw the development of all VH1 East Coast original unscripted programming and led the East Coast development team.

Previously she was with Oxygen, where she served as director of development and production, working on such series as The Glee Project, I’m Having Their Baby and Funny Girls. She has also held roles at TLC and Fox TV Studios.

Fuse targets the Latino and multicultural 18- to 34-year-old audience in the US and operates services including linear and VoD channels alongside a network of podcasts and mobile apps.
