FunimationNow joins Amazon Prime in UK

Amazon Prime Video has added Sony Pictures Television’s anime service FunimationNow to its line-up of SVoD channels in the UK.

FunimationNow will be available as an add-on for Prime members at a cost of £4.99 (US$6.44) per month.

It will feature hundreds of new and classic anime shows and movies, such as My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, Black Clover, Overlord, Assassination Classroom, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Fairy Tail and SSSS Gridman.

Some new shows will be made available with English subtitles the day after they air in Japan, with English-dubbed versions available a couple of weeks later.

FunimationNow joins the line-up of more than 70 channels available on Prime Video Channels in the UK, including live and on-demand entertainment and sport, available as individual subscriptions.

Sony took a majority stake in US-based anime distribution outfit Funimation Productions in 2017.
