Fulwell 73 brings in Warner Bros exec

The Late Late Show with James Corden’s producer Fulwell 73 has appointed a Warner Bros Television exec to oversee scripted development in the US.

Jeff Grosvenor

Jeff Grosvenor has been named head of US scripted development and has a remit to build on Fulwell’s existing scripted slate, reporting to Fulwell partners Ben Winston and Leo Pearlman. He joins the firm with immediate effective.

Fulwell has been ramping up its scripted output in the US, with Happy Together picked up by CBS and a pilot production commitment from Showtime for The Wrong Mans. The half-hour single-camera action comedy is based on the 2013 UK series created by and starring Corden and Matthew Baynton.

Grosvenor joins Fulwell from Warner Bros Television, where he served as VP of comedy development, developing live-action and animated content for broadcast, cable and premium streaming sites. He recently shepherded Trial & Error and Powerless, both for NBC.

Prior to that, he ran Rashida Jones and Will McCormack’s company Le Train Train Productions, where he produced comedy series A to Z (NBC) and developed Eliot Lawrence’s Claws (TNT).

He has also worked at US outfits including Wonderland Sound & Vision, on dramas such as Nikita for The CW, and began his entertainment career as an assistant at Creative Artists Agency.

Pearlman said: “The Fulwell team have been working hard to ramp up our scripted TV slate and Jeff’s track record in comedy and drama meant that he stood out to us as the perfect candidate for the role.

“Jeff’s experience in both the studio and independent sectors means he comes to us equipped with great talent relationships, a strong track record and the drive and ambition needed to move us forward in the realm of scripted television.”

Earlier this year Fulwell 73 appointed Caroline Roseman, the creator of Whizz Kid Entertainment format Ex on the Beach, as its UK head of development.

Fulwell’s TV slate includes new formats Pants on Fire and Virtuosos, alongside Sounds Like Friday Night, Roast Battle and The Late Late Show with James Corden. Corden joined the UK-based production company as a full partner early last year.

The firm opened an LA office in July 2016 and shortly after signed a development deal with CBS Television Studios to create scripted, alternative and digital content for the studio. It currently coproduces Drop the Mic for TBS and Carpool Karaoke for Apple, with CBS Television Studios.
