Fugitive to shop Topic originals

Rough Draft with Reza Aslan is among Topic’s originals

Fugitive, the content development and financing outfit from Anthony Kimble, has struck a deal with First Look Media’s North American streaming service Topic to distribute its factual originals internationally.

Fugitive will be Topic’s first distribution partner in representing longform originals that debut on its streaming service.

The streamer’s current originals include Rough Draft with Reza Aslan (8×60’), What’s Your Ailment?! with Maria Bamford (10×40’), The Guru Inside You (4×12’) and Second City Presents: The Last Show Left on Earth (4×30’).

Kimble, Fugitive’s founder, said: “Topic has quickly grown its reputation for streaming exciting new programming at the forefront of culture. We are thrilled to be working with the team on this slate of originals and hope to enhance that reputation still further while successfully finding the best-fit international homes for each of these series.”
