French format dances into Spain

Spanish broadcaster RTVE has greenlit a local version of musical talent show Prodiges, which originally aired on French pubcaster France 2.

Shine Iberia is working on Prodigios, a talent show focused on singing, musical instruments and classical dance to be presented by Boris Izaguirre.

The show, which has aired five seasons and two specials in France where it is produced by the local Endemol Shine outfit, has also travelled to Italy (Rai) and Albania (TV Klan) and showcases the musical talents of children aged between seven and 15.

The Spanish version will be recorded at the Miguel Delibes Auditorium in Valladolid and will feature live music from the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra. Stars of the Spanish music scene will accompany the children on stage.

The performances will be evaluated by a jury consisting of choreographer and ex-dancer Nacho Duato, singer Ainhoa ​​Arteta and the orchestra conductor Andrés Salado.

They will be in charge of evaluating the performances of the children and choosing the ‘Prodigio 2019’ of Spain. Izaguirre will be in charge of presenting the galas and Paula Prendes will accompany the children and their families in the backstage and the rehearsals of the performances.

Endemol Shine International distributes the format globally.

Shine Iberia is already behind local format adaptations of MasterChef, Masters of Sewing and is currently working on Dinner With Mom for La 1.
