French and Scandi kids sales for TV-Loonland

Germany’s TV-Loonland has concluded key French and Scandinavian sales for In A Heartbeat (21×30') and The Cramp Twins (26×30'), as well as deals for Fat Dog Mendoza (26×30').

France 2 has picked up the free-to-air rights to In A Heartbeat, which is slated to premiere in spring 2002. Produced by Canada's AAC Kids, the live-action series revolves around the everyday problems of four teenagers.

The French acquisition follows on from TV-Loonland's sale of the series to Disney UK, Disney Germany, Disney France and Disney Italy earlier on this month.

Cramp Twins, which has already been licensed to the BBC in the UK and TF1 in France, has now been picked up by Cartoon Network Scandinavia.

Aimed at 8-12 year-olds, the animated series will be broadcast simultaneously on the Cartoon Network throughout Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland starting in September 2001.

Cramp Twins, a co-production between TV-Loonland, Cartoon Network UK and Sunbow Entertainment, follows the quirky antics and sibling rivalry of 10-year old twins, Wayne and Lucien Cramp.

The animated series Fat Dog Mendoza, targeting seven-year-olds and up, has been sold to both Cartoon Network Africa and Cartoon Network Middle East, and is scheduled to premiere on both channels this Spring 2001.

Produced by Sunbow Entertainment for commissioning broadcaster Cartoon Network UK, Fat Dog Mendoza follows a canine mentor and sidekick, his ten-year-old owner Little Costumed Buddy.
