Fremantle appoints new gameshow execs

Evelyn Warfel

Fremantle has appointed new showrunners and executive producers to two of its long-running gameshows, The Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal.

Evelyn Warfel has been promoted to showrunner and executive producer of The Price is Right, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the history of the show.

She has been with Fremantle for the past decade and most recently served as The Price is Right’s co-executive producer.

In addition, Adam Sandler has been appointed as The Price Is Right’s new co-executive producer. He has spent 25 years with the show, the last six of which as its director. He will continue in this role as well as carrying out his new executive duties.

John Quinn

Meanwhile, John Quinn has been appointed showrunner and executive producer of Let’s Make a Deal. He will be supported by co-executive producers Chris Ahearn, Graham Shaw and Jennifer Langheld.

Quinn initially joined Fremantle six years ago as executive producer of Celebrity Name Game, serving in the same role for Match Game, as well as being showrunner and executive producer for ABC’s Press Your Luck.

Warfel and Quinn are stepping into the shoes of Mike Richards, who stepped down as executive producer of both shows last month in order to sign a deal with Sony Pictures Television.

Both The Price Is Right and Let’s Make a Deal are produced by Fremantle and will start their 48th and 11th seasons respectively on CBS this fall.
