She departed Fremantle in August after seven years with the company.

Jonathan Lee Smith, CEO of Hoplite Entertainment, said: “Levina is a well-respected executive who has a fantastic track record in finding content with international appeal.

“She’s real talent and we couldn’t be happier to have her join our expanding team. We believe that Levina will be instrumental to our expanding global footprint and strategic growth.”

Negi added; “The company has gone from strength to strength with an already robust catalogue of innovative content. With their growing list of key collaborations, Hoplite is already expanded its profile globally and I’m excited to help amplify their strategy.”

Hoplite has offices and facilities in Hollywood and coproduction facilities in Ningbo, China. Since its formation in 2013, Hoplite has produced more than 300 hours of television and film.

Its slate includes shows such as A Taste of Music (16×30′), which features rock, pop and country stars who reveal their food preferences, cookery series Recipe Hunters (12×30′) and Foxy Lady (12×30′), a doc series about the rising popularity of a chain of restaurants where diners are served by scantily clad women.
