Freeform gets Close Up with Nowalk

Disney’s young-adult cablenet Freeform has picked up a new drama pilot exec produced by How to Get Away with Murder creator Peter Nowalk.

Close Up is a one-hour high school drama set in a suburban US town, which a student turns upside down by exposing the truth about the seemingly normal community.

Written by Keith Staskiewicz (Three Delivery), the character-driven drama pilot was ordered by Freeform exec VP of original programming and development Lauren Corrao, who joined in April. ABC Signature Studios is the producer.
