France has Faith in BBC/S4C drama

Quad Drama is adapting Keeping Faith for TF1

A French broadcaster is launching a local-language remake of BBC/S4C drama Keeping Faith, after prodco Quad Drama picked up the rights to adapt it.

Paris-based Quad Drama acquired the rights from About Premium Content (APC), which distributes the series. Production is slated for this year for broadcast on TF1.

The news comes as APC picked up the global rights to the third season of Keeping Faith, which is produced by Vox Pictures for Welsh broadcaster S4C and BBC Wales.

APC has extended its coproduction deal with Acorn Media Enterprises (AME) for all rights to the third season across the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, plus home entertainment rights in the UK and Ireland.

AMC Networks-owned streaming platform Acorn TV will feature its US and Canadian premiere as an Acorn TV original in 2021, coinciding with the BBC premiere. Season three will launch first on S4C in October this year.

In addition, Fox in Germany has extended its agreement for S3, along with TV4 Media, which has confirmed SVoD rights to all three seasons in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

TV4 Media has also picked up the free TV rights for its linear channel TV4 in Sweden.

Keeping Faith S3 is directed by Pip Broughton and Judith Dine, written by Matthew Hall and Broughton and produced by Broughton and Llyr Morus.

The exec producers are Adrian Bate for Vox Pictures, Gwenlllian Gravelle for S4C and Maggie Russell for BBC Wales. James Cabourne exec produces for Nevision, with Catherine Mackin and Bea Tammer taking on the same role at AME.
