France 2 uncovers Secrets & Lies

Pubcaster France 2 has become the latest broadcaster to pick up an Australian psychological thriller from distributor Cineflix Rights.

Secrets & Lies (6×60′) is written by author Stephen M Irwin and produced by Brisbane-based prodco Hoodlum for Network Ten in Australia.

The drama revolves around an everyday family man whose life is thrown into disarray as he attempts to clear his name after being accused of murdering a four-year-old boy.

Cineflix has already sold the series to Channel 5 in the UK, CBC (Canada), RTL (Netherlands), SVT (Sweden), RTÉ (Ireland), SVT (Sweden), TV2 (Norway), Medialaan (Belgium) and Silver Box (Russia), as well as Netflix in the US and Canada.

Chris Bonney, CEO of rights at Cineflix, said he expected further sales ahead of MipTV in Cannes next month.
