Foxtel production chief to exit

The director of production at Australian pay TV firm Foxtel is set to leave the company later this month.

Duane Hatherly

Duane Hatherly, who has been with the company since 1996, will leave on December 20 to “seek new a challenge,” he told colleagues in an internal memo this week.

The exec has held various roles at the company since moving down under from Toronto and joining as a graphics designer, including managing channels such as Fox8 and overseeing genres such as lifestyle.

“It would be hard to find anyone who has demonstrated as much as loyalty and commitment to Foxtel as Duane,” said Foxtel’s executive director of television, Brian Walsh.

Hatherly added: “I am grateful that during that time, and over so many milestones, Foxtel has offered me the opportunity to take responsibility in almost every facet of television and broadcast.”
