Foxtel, Living set up Holmes

Australian pay TV operator Foxtel and the Living Channel in New Zealand are among the broadcasters to have picked up lifestyle and documentary series from Canada’s Proper Rights.

Foxtel has acquired Best of Holmes on Homes (13×60’), which originally aired on HGTV in Canada and looks at some of the most extreme renovations performed by Mike Holmes during seven seasons of his show Holmes on Homes.

The broadcaster has also taken It Happened Here (1×90’), which is produced by Neponsit Pictures and builds on Sundance’s The Hunting Ground doc about sexual assaults on college campuses.

The Living Channel has licensed the third and fourth season of Holmes Inspection (26×60’) produced by the Holmes Group for HGTV.

In Thailand, Cineplex has taken the third season of Canada’s Handyman Challenge (10×60’) and HGTV’s Top Ten (26×30).

Brazilian broadcast giant Globosat has added design series Esther Extraordinaire (10×30’) while comedic documentary How to Make Love to My Wife (1×60’) has gone to Discovery Life in the US.
