Marci Proietto has been elevated to the newly created position having been with the company since graduating from college 26 years ago.

Fox said the promotion came “in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the studio’s past, current and future animation properties.”

These include Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, American Dad and the longest running primetime scripted series of all time, The Simpsons.

Proietto will continue to head the studio’s animation area, overseeing creative and production of the studio’s properties.

Additionally, she is responsible for the studio’s animation development slate as well as forthcoming series including Central Park for Apple, Solar Opposites for Hulu, Bless the Harts and Duncanville for Fox, and Hoops for Netflix.

Among the talent attached to the projects is Loren Bouchard, Josh Gad, Justin Roiland, Mike McMahan, Emily Spivey, Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Kristen Wiig, Seth Cohen, Amy Poehler and Mike and Julie Scully, Ben Hoffman and Jake Johnson.

It is estimated that Proietto has now worked on more than 1,800 episodes of 16 animated television series during her time at the studio.

“Her relationships with powerhouse creators like Matt Groening, Seth MacFarlane and Loren Bouchard are incredibly strong, because she’s been there championing their work from the beginning,” said Jonathan Davis, president of creative affairs.

“She’s also identified and set up projects with a host of other giants in the space, as well as many whom we think are the next generation of animation talent.”
