Colette Foster joined Remarkable in 2007 and two years later became joint MD alongside Nick Mather. He was appointed to the role in 2013 and is still at the company.

Foster has developed and overseen more than 20 primetime terrestrial factual entertainment shows, including UK programmes Snog, Marry, Avoid for BBC3 and The Sex Education Show and Supersize vs Superskinny for Channel 4.

She said her decision to leave “couldn’t have been tougher” but could not reveal her next move.

Remarkable, which had been owned by Endemol, became part of the world’s biggest production group following Endemol’s merger with Shine and Core Media last year.

Foster follows Shine chief exec Alex Mahon, Endemol UK chief creative officer David Flynn and Kudos CEO Jane Featherstone in leaving the giant prodco recently.
