Food Network dines out in Europe

Food Network has signed a string of distribution deals in Scandinavia and Southern Europe as it expands its EMEA footprint.

The channel, a joint venture between Scripps Networks Interactive and Chello Zone, has launched with Finnish operator Anvia and is now available via Portugal Telecom’s Meo IPTV service. It will also enter Malta with local operators Go and Melita Cable.

Last month the channel joined African digital satellite platform MultiChoice. Food Network is now in 80 territories across EMEA following its UK debut just over a year ago.
