FNG adds Fremantle shows in Balkans

Jamie Oliver content will air on FNG Bulgaria’s 24 Kitchen

Fox Networks Group (FNG) in Bulgaria is among operators across the Balkans that have picked up lifestyle and entertainment programming from producer-distributor Fremantle.

FNG Bulgaria has signed a multi-year deal to air a range of content featuring celebrity chef Jamie Oliver on its 24 Kitchen channel, including the eighth season of Jamie & Jimmy’s Food Fight Club and all-new Oliver programming produced during the agreed period.

The partnership is a renewal of a previous three-year deal with FNG, which includes Fremantle cooking shows Nigel Slater’s Middle East and Hairy Bikers’ Mediterranean Adventure.

Meanwhile, Balkan operator United Media will launch both the UK and US versions of Syco Entertainment and Fremantle format Got Talent, as well as the British version of The X Factor.

Nick Pawsey, Fremantle’s VP of sales and distribution for CEE and Russia, said the partnership with United Media marked the first time an international version of these formats had been sold into the Balkan region.
