FMI ups Di Mondo in Canada

FremantleMedia International (FMI) has promoted one of its North American execs to works across sales in Canada.

Michela Di Mondo has been named senior VP for sales and distribution for FMI Canada and will head up the Toronto office, building on the company’s operations in the region.

Di Mondo reports to Lisa Honig, senior exec VP for international distribution at FMI in North America, and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ramp up sales across all platforms in Canada.

Honig said Di Mondo had been “an integral part of FMI’s growth since joining the team in 2014” and “is well placed to push our ambition and commitment in the Canadian market.”

Since joining FMI, Di Mondo has worked on the launch of the Canadian office and brokered deals across the territories in both English and French languages.

Prior to joining FMI, Di Mondo was executive director at Media Group International, where she oversaw sales for studios such as Sony Pictures, MGM and FMI. Before that, she worked for MGM in Canada.
