Flame stocks up for Mipcom

Classic car restoration series Start Me Up from SMU Media

Australia’s Flame Distribution has launched an autumn slate featuring 400 hours of content spanning factual, lifestyle, reality and documentary ahead of next month’s Mipcom.

Lifestyle series Start Me Up, from SMU Media, is a classic car show finding overlooked and forgotten vintage cars around the country to put them back on the road.

Frock Finders is produced by Waddell Media for Irish broadcaster RTÉ and goes behind the scenes of fashion boutiques to shed light on buying the perfect dress. Crime series Taken, from Eagle Vision, explores the cases of more than 1,000 missing women and girls in Canada.

Arm Nation, from Picture This Productions, centres on arm wrestlers

In Macha Media’s After the Armada, presenter Antaine Ó Donnaile tells the story of captain Francisco de Cuéllar, whose ship was wrecked during the Spanish Armada. Documentary series Arm Nation, from Picture This Productions, focuses on the stories of male and female arm wrestlers. Kitten TV is produced by Open Sky Pictures and offers ambient TV with a focus on young cats in 4K.

The Rusty Cage’s My Greek Odyssey is a 13-part travel series taking viewers to the Greek islands. In Nat Geo Arctic Quest, from 5th Element Productions, adventurer Geoff Wilson tackles another polar record as he plans to kite-ski the entire 2,200km length of the Greenland ice sheet. Finally, The Great Lighthouses of Ireland, from In Production TV, tells the story of Ireland’s lighthouses.

Returning titles include the new season of Mind Over Money from Ruckus Media, exploring financial spending, and health series Doctor in the House, from Independent Pictures. Italian pubcaster Rai’s adventure journey Overland, from Overland Network, is also returning with eight new episodes taking viewers to India.

In his new series Born to Cook, from Mago Films, Jack Stein meets food producers in Western Australia. Finally, SBS Food Safari returns with its new series Food Safari Water, from Kismet Productions, showcasing seafood dishes of the world.
