FilmStruck finds content director

FilmStruck, the SVoD service from Turner International and Warner Bros Digital Networks, has appointed a director of content and editorial for international.

Quentin Carbonell has joined FilmStruck International, the premium movie streaming service that launched this year in the UK, France and Spain and is set to expand into additional markets.

Carbonell will be responsible for defining and executing the overall editorial strategy for the service and will lead content acquisition, programming and curation across all regions.

He arrives from fellow film streamer Mubi, where he was responsible for acquisitions and led strategic editorial partnerships, including with Cannes Film Festival’s Directors’ Fortnight.

Carbonell reports to Kerensa Samanidis, general manager, international, who joined the service earlier this year. The platform draws on the movie libraries of Warner Bros and distributor Criterion Collection, as well as other global and local content partners.
