FilmRise, ITVGSE strengthen ties

Gordon Ramsay in Hell’s Kitchen

US TV and film distributor FilmRise has expanded its partnership with ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVSGE), the distribution arm of the UK broadcaster.

The pact means FilmRise will handle streaming rights of more than 1,000 hours of ITVSGE content across SVoD and AVoD platforms in North America.

FilmRise is now digitally distributing all seasons of Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares in the US. It will also distribute Hell’s Kitchen digitally in Canada.

In addition, the company will bring comedy series Miranda, sci-fi shows Saphire & Steel and Gerry Anderson’s UFO and crime drama Case Histories to North American streaming audiences.

The arrangement furthers FilmRise’s distribution to Canada, building on its deal with ITVSGE last year for British shows such as Emmerdale, Heartbeat and Peak Practice.
