Federation investigates Secret Enemies

Secret Enemies stars Samuli Vauramo

French distributor Federation Entertainment has acquired the international rights to a 10-part political thriller from Finland.

Secret Enemies (10×60’), produced by Moskito Television for Finnish broadcaster MTV, is based on the bestselling Arto Ratamo books by Taavi Soininvaara.

Federation has come on board as a coproducer and will now shop the series round the world, launching the show at MipTV in Cannes next month.

Secret Enemies was created by Roope Lehtinen and Mikko Pöllä, known for their work on Black Widows, and is written by Timo Varpio, who won a Venla award for best screenwriter in 2002.

The plot follows detective Arto Ratamo as he investigates the death of the prime minister’s chauffeur, uncovering a Europe-wide case of political espionage.

Shot in Helsinki and Berlin last year, the series is currently in post production. Delivery is expected later this year.
