Federation, Cottonwood partner Planeta

French distributor Federation Kids & Family and its sister prodco Cottonwood Media have agreed a programming partnership with Spain’s Planeta Junior.

The multi-year deal will see the companies work together to distribute each other’s content worldwide on different platforms and comes after Planeta Junior struck a similar pact with Germany’s Studio 100 Media this week.

Cottonwood Media and Planeta Junior will develop and produce new content together, while distribution and ancillary rights will be jointly exploited by Federation Kids & Family and Planeta Junior.

The partnership will begin with 2D animated series Squish (52×11′), which is produced by Cottonwood Media and French broadcaster Gulli for 6-11s and is based on the graphic novels by Jennifer and Matthew Holm.
