Family Channel, CBBC renew Creeped Out

Creeped Out has also been picked up by Netflix

Canada’s Family Channel and CBBC in the UK have renewed their anthology series Creeped Out from Bede Blake and Rob Butler for a second season.

The live-action show is a Canada-UK coproduction between DHX Media and BBC Children’s Productions, and the new order is for 10 more episodes.

The series is executive produced by creators Blake (The Evermoor Chronicles, Hank Zipzer) and Butler (Eastenders, Hollyoaks).

The executive producers for DHX are Josh Scherba and Anne Loi, while the executive producer for BBC Children’s Productions is Spencer Campbell.

Meanwhile, the series’ first season, which premiered on CBBC in October and debuts on Family Channel this autumn, has also been picked up by Netflix worldwide, excluding the UK and Canada. It will begin streaming in October.

Creeped Out is an original drama anthology series that combines sci-fi, horror, adventure, suspense, fantasy and mystery.

Production on season two of the collection begins this summer. The first five episodes will be shot in Toronto this month, followed by five episodes to be filmed in the North West of England. Season one was commissioned in March 2017.
