Facebook, Endemol Shine prep Brazil soap

Endemol Shine Brazil’s first scripted project Tour das Tours

Facebook is partnering with Endemol Shine Brazil to launch the country’s first digital soap opera, Tour das Tours, which will be sponsored by local drinks company Ambev.

Tour das Tours is the first scripted project from Endemol Shine Brazil and was inspired by the stories on Brazil’s largest Facebook group, LDRV, which has more than 400,000 members.

The digital series will be made up of 11 episodes under five minutes in length and will premiere exclusively on Facebook Brazil. Ambev’s Skol brand sponsors the series.

Juliana Algañaraz, CEO of Endemol Shine Brazil, said: “This is our first-ever scripted series and we couldn’t be happier to enter in this genre alongside great partners like Ambev and Facebook. Tour das Tours will both entertain viewers and incorporate Skol’s brand in this unique new social media format. The script and production have been specially designed for mobile consumers here in Brazil.”
