Evens Stevens rides again on Disney

NATPE NEWS – After a Vegas deal, Disney Channel has inked a renewal with Canadian distributor Fireworks International for the third season of Even Stevens.

The half-hour live-action tween comedy comes from Brookwell McNamara Entertainment in association with Disney Channel, and is exec produced by David Brookwell and Sean McNamara (The Secret World of Alex Mack).

Fireworks is also celebrating the show's US ratings. Over Q4 last year, the show ranked #1 for its slot in basic cable among kids 9-14, with its 3.8 rating within that demographic. The first fortnight of 2002 saw the show climb into the top five basic cable shows among tweens.

The series follows the adventures of two sibling rivals: she the school hero; he the school zero. The CanWest-owned distributor has worldwide rights outside the US.
