Euro nets take ITV’s Tricked

Broadcasters across Europe have picked up more than 460 hours of factual programming from ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVSGE), including hidden-camera magic show Tricked.

Tricked, from ITV Studios, sees mischievous magician Ben Hanlin go undercover using sleight of hand, mental powers and misdirection to pull pranks on members of the public and celebrities.

The show has been acquired by Sweden’s TV4, Norway’s NRK, Finland’s Nelonen and Discovery Networks Western Europe for Italy and Spain.

Also in Scandinavia, TV4 and Norway’s TV6 have secured the rights to Building The Dream, UK indie True North’s series following people attempting to build their own homes.

Meanwhile, M6’s 6ter in France and TV10 in Sweden have acquired Louisiana Lockdown, a documentary series that offers exclusive access to Angola Prison, the largest maximum-security penitentiary in the US. 6ter has also picked up animal series Too Cute!, while TV10 has acquired Alaskan docusoap Wild West Alaska.

Discovery has acquired various versions of ITV Studios’ hit show Four Weddings for Western Europe markets. Discovery Networks Italy has bought Four Weddings USA, Four Weddings UK, Four Weddings Australia and Four Weddings Canada.

In addition, Discovery Networks Netherlands has picked up Four Weddings USA, Four Weddings Australia and Four Weddings Canada. Meanwhile, Discovery Networks UK is airing Four Weddings USA, Four Weddings Canada and Four Weddings Australia.
